Clematis ‘Multi-Blue’
This versatile clematis has three different stages of bloom.
It first appears like a normal purple clematis flower, then, the anthers grow out of the center giving it a very unique double look, and finally, the large petals fall off and leave the center like a little firework.
Flowering begins in May with a re-bloom during summer.
It grows 6 to 8 feet tall and likes full sun, but will tolerate part shade too.Like all clematis, it likes cool roots, so keep it happy my adding a layer of mulch.
It belongs to pruning group 2, which means you only need to trim out dead branches.
