Maiden grass is fast growing with narrow blades giving it a wispy look and growing about 5 feet tall and 3-6 feet wide.

When the seed heads or “flowers” appear it can reach 6-7 feet tall. Prefers full sun to part shade, but keep in mind too much shade can cause it to flop over..

It is also drought tolerant and adaptable to a wide range of soil types including clay.
