Peony ‘Karl Rosenfeld’
Peony flowers are a level of beauty all to themselves, and Peony ‘Karl Rosenfeld’ is no exception!
It produces large blooms averaging 4 inches in diameter beginning in early May and continuing for 2-3 weeks. These make good cut flowers.
Mature plants can make as many 10 to 20 blooms per plant! That many flowers is quite a weight so some support may be needed to keep wind and rain from making them fall over to the ground.
This perennial grows about 2.5 to 3 feet tall and wide, and likes to be planted in full sun or part shade.
It is best to cut the foliage back to the ground after the first frost in the fall.
