Peony ‘Festiva Maxima’ is wonderfully fragrant, producing large extravagant flowers with little flecks of red down inside each bloom!

The show begins in early May and blooms persists 2-3 weeks. They make good cut flowers too!

Grows 3 feet tall and 3 feet wide and does best in full sun or part shade.

The number and size of flowers creates quite a weight, so some support helps to keep them from getting bent down by wind and heavy rain.

It is best to cut the foliage back to the ground after the first frost in the fall.
