Dianthus ‘Firewitch’ reliably produces loads of bright pink flowers in spring with sporadic blooms possible through summer.
The foliage is evergreen, which adds winter interest to the landscape.
It only grows 6 to 8 inches tall and spreads 12 inches wide, making it an option for sidewalk edging, a small scale ground cover or a single plant in the foreground of the flower bed.
Needs full sun and well draining soil, and when given those, it largely takes care of itself!
Hardy in zones 3-9.
