Catmint ‘Walkers Low’
Catmint ‘Walkers Low’ is a great perennial and is very easy to grow!
Green/gray foliage emerges in a perfectly symmetrical mound followed by a fantastic show of bluish-purple flowers beginning in mid spring.
As it continues to grow and bloom, it starts to splay out and lose some of it shapeliness, so after the initial flush of blooms, it can be sheared back to neaten it up and reset it for another flower show in several weeks.
Despite its name, it is not a low grower, able to reach 24-30 inches tall and 2-3 feet wide if left untrimmed all year.
It grows best in well drained soil and full to partial sun. As a bonus it is generally left alone by deer and rabbits!
Hardy in zones 4-8.
