Richly colored dark red to purple/black flowers appear over an extended period from winter into spring.

This variety is also quite vigorous, producing plenty of foliage that forms a dense clump 18-24 inches tall and wide.

They are pretty drought tolerant once established and will largely take care of themselves. Simply plant them in part shade or full shade and let them do their thing. Its leaves are also evergreen and deer resistant too!

Hardy in zones 4-9.
