Doublefile Viburnum ‘Mariesii’
Doublefile Viburnum ‘Mariesii’
Viburnum bushes are quite easy to grow but you have to give them plenty of elbow room to have them at their best.
Since Mariesii is a double file type, the flowers appear in two rows along the branches, individually though as in a lovely white lace cap form.
The flowers appear in mid spring and sit on top of the branches, which make them look as if a late snow has fallen.
It will grow in full sun or part shade, reaching 10-12 feet tall and 10-15 feet wide.
Any pruning should be done after the flowers are finished so that next year’s show is not damaged by pruning later in the year.
Hardy in zones 5-8.
