Bellflower ‘Pearl White’
Bellflower ‘Pearl White’
Lots of white, cup shaped flowers appear on this perennial for weeks from late spring into summer.
Its small leaves are toothy, and overall, the plant forms a nice mound 8-12 inches high when in bloom and spreading out to 1-2 feet wide.
With our hot summers, it would appreciate a layer of mulch in the spring to help keep its roots cool when the season changes and also a location where it can receive some afternoon shade.
Typically though it is listed as plant for full sun or part shade.
Plant it in a place with well drained, consistent moisture, avoiding heavy, soggy soils as they will tend to rot out in that environment.
Hardy in zones 3-8.
