Bearded Iris ‘Best Bet’
Bearded Iris ‘Best Bet’
This variety features bi-colored flowers! Its upright standards are light bluish white and the falls are dark blue/purple.
Bloom time for its main show is in mid spring, but 'Best Bet' is sometimes able to give a few encore flowers in autumn as well.
The flowers are held on tall stems that can rise up to 36 inches high over a spreading clump of elongated foliage that can reach 1-3 feet wide over time.
It grows best in full sun to part shade and like all bearded Iris, prefers the top of its bulb (rhizome) to be left exposed above the soil line.
Hardy in zones 3-10.
