Bearded Iris ‘Lent A. Williamson’

Bearded Iris 'Lent A. Williamson'

This Iris is a very old variety, first being introduced back in 1918.

It is noted for its vigor and toughness even in less than ideal conditions.

In mid to late spring the flowers are borne on 30-42 inch stems and feature lavender standards with velvet/purple falls and a yellow beard.

Over time it spreads to form a large clump of sword-like foliage 1-3 feet wide.

It prefers full sun or partial sun.
