Lily of the Valley ‘Bordeaux’
Lily of the Valley is known for its sweet scented flowers.
Bordeaux improves upon the standard type by producing larger blooms held on wiry stems the stand above the foliage, instead of among it.
They are remarkably hardy, surviving in less than ideal locations, but they do best in partial sun to shade.
In good soil they will readily spread to form colonies.
The foliage typically grows to 6-8 inches high.
Other good reasons for planting this easy to grow perennial are that they are both deer and rabbit resistant.
